• I'm quite sure the drives inside are WD Red NAS drives, which are 5400 rpm, but are great drives, and have 128 mb of cache. They retail for $279!!

• ATTO Disk Benchmark says it's around 170MB/s read & write.

• Depending on the speed of your computer itself. On my computer I have an Alienware Aurora R6 with 64 gigs of RAM when I went to transfer my games over to the 8 terabyte external hard drive I had 4 terabytes worth of games it transferred all of it over within 30 minutes
