• Nope. Comes with wall wart power supply which plugs into the drive enclosure. If you do put a drive on a switch, make certain all disk operations are complete before cutting power. You want the drive head parked over the safe, unused area when power is removed.

• It does not but has a wall plug with connector i use it on my ps4 so is no issue for me when im playing is on when im done playing is off only thing when i put the ps4 to rest mode it stays on is always very loud more than the ps4 im assuming maybe if is used on a laptop or desktop u have to eject first before unppluging from the wall
