“I have a WDMYCloud 2TB which hooks directly up to my router. I have it broke down into 4 different shares and every computer in the house has at least one of the shares mapped. Will this drive work the same way? I suspect it will but want to check.”

It should as that it is a smb file server

Please try again later.You will not be able to do what you intend to, this device is a rough network device with extreme limitations, there are cheap file servers devices that can attach USB devices and have your network connected to it and be able to manage your sharing folder along, my cloud home offers it but to use on mobile apps with lots of limitation and compatible issues, meaning not all apps support it
