Hi Floss, Please be informed that My Cloud Home is equipped with a single hard drive. If the device is not working, your data will remain safe on the hard drive. Therefore, we always ask the user to use the device with caution. In My Cloud Home Duo, you get two hard drives that are pre-configured in mirror mode (RAID 1) so that the same data is duplicated on another hard drive which can save your data in case of hard drive failure.
