• Yes. I use it at home (where I'm running Windows) and also at school where we use the Mac OS. Has worked well on both computers.

• I have a windows laptop and my wife has a Mac. I formatted the drive to exFat on my windows laptop and i can use it on both my wife's laptop and my own.

• I used disK utility that comes on the Mac to format the drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Has worked well for a couple of months.

• If its not esFat you can always format it to be.

• Believe it comes formatted as exFat, but you can always reformat and change it. So yes it is compatible, you can always reformat drives to a different file system
