    • Answer You would have to format it for compatibility for either Windows or Mac when transferring files. It will only support transferring files on either or, but if you wanted to view files on the hard drive it will work on both operating systems.

    • Answer I have been using Samsung Televisions for about 7 years now with interfacing external hard drives, both portable and wired, with the Samsung built in media players. However, Samsung, as with ALL brands of televisions are still currently limited to reading an playing up to a 2 TB (2,000 GB) hard drive. If you want to interface your television with say a 3 TB or 4 TB hard drive one must use a computer with media player software to accomplish that.
