“Is this hard drive able to copy movies from the dvd to itself for storage? I'm looking to condense all movies from their DVDs to one portable drive, if possible.”

I copied my DVDs to digital and stored over 1000 of them on one of these hard drives. U have to have software to read and copy the DVD’s but this device will store and read for playback.
