Yes, you can use this 5 TB external hard drive without Wi-Fi. As a reminder...your Laptop, and or Desktop computer is what uses Wi-Fi, not the external hard drive. On my Desktop computer I always disable the Wi-Fi. A Laptop computer, now days, from what I've seen, there's no ethernet port on them, so you have to use Wi-Fi on a Laptop computer. I use the 4 TB and 5 TB external drives with my Windows 7 and my Windows 10 operating systems.
