The drive works well for offloading large photos. Recently I went to the Grand Canyon and took hundreds of photos that were shot in RAW where I used the drive for backup. The drive performed beautifully. Additionally, I do recommend that you purchase the largest drive your budget allows. Don’t buy a 1-TB if you think your project will be near that size. Always guesstimate the drive size + 50%. The additional space allows the operating system room for temporary files as they copy.
