yes, seagate is not good
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried to delete individual files on this one, but my last WD you could. I record my own music and save the recordings to my external drive. I delete them when I do a better mix sometimes, so I've done this a lot with the older one. I haven't had a chance to try on this one though I don't see why it wouldn't work just like my other WD. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By deletion you mean a file within a folder? If so, then yes. I was able to delete certain files that I no longer need. I had a Toshiba before and it did not allow me to delete one file. With this one it did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A Seagate Drive needs to be reformatted to Mac format using disk utility in macOS. All non-Mac formatted drives are usually with NTFS which can be read from a Mac but not written to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can Drag the file on to your desktop to move it. Then delete (trash on a Mac)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When used as external storage, individual files can be deleted using a file manager. If used as backup disc, the computer's backup software must be employed to manage backup contents. Sounds like your Seagate drive may have been running in projected mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to. If you can't you might have to check your permission settings on your computer.
