“I have a Macbook Air, do i have to purchase software for this to work? Is this just plug in and go? is it easy to use? mainly want to store picture on it. Thank you”

I have a macbook pro and can tell you this was as easy as anything that connects to a mac. That's why I bought mine and its pretty seamless- Just find the drive in finder, create a folder, and cut and paste away. Very easy to use.

If you buy the Mac version no additional software is needed. Just plug and transfer files. I don’t know what ports the MacBook air has so you may need a adapter to convert from the usual USB connector that comes with the My Passport.
