Can this be used to back up iPhone and iPad? null

It can HOLD backups of your iPhone/iPad if you know how to navigate through Mac's file system to find were they are stored (I have +150GB of backups currently stored). You CANNOT backup your iPhone/iPad directly to the external hard drive UNLESS you have the directory preset in iTunes to the external hard drive as the "save to" location.

No, this model is Mac compatible but not Apple iOS.
