    • Answer Yes, it is Mac and pc compatible. The primary cable interface is usb C but it comes with a usb C to usb Type A adapter too. So if you do not have a usb c port it has your covered.

  • QuestionWhat does "Hardware Encryption" mean?

    • Answer The newer computers now are able to encrypt their internal hard drives such as Mac. This encryption scrambles the data on your internal drive for protection. If you want the same protection for your backup files then you are able to encrypt this portable drive. It requires a password to access and add, delete or modify files. You can opt out of encryption if you so desire.

    • Answer I do believe they include an adaptor for the USB. And as far as I can tell, a SSD should work with your computer. Just do a internet search on "ssd compatibility with mid 2012 Macbook pro" and you'll find SSDs made for your computer.

However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD.     • Answer You can install and play old xbox one games of this drive but you cannot install and play next gen series x/s games of this drive. You can store series x/s games on this drive and move them to your internal ssd drive at a later time, when you actually want to play them.
