I do not know if the drive can be partitioned, but I would suspect so. I'm guessing that is what you mean. In that regard, I apologize if this answer is too obvious, but you could establish separate directories on the external harddrive, one for each computer, and via the drag-n-drop method back up the separate computers in their separate directories.

You don't have to partition it to keep files separated, the backup system handles this quite well, and if you simply want to copy files to it from different PCs, all you have to do is create folders for each pc and use the appropriate folder when manually copying files to/from the drive.
