• It worked perfect with my old XP computer, no special downloads or adjustments. Plug and play.

• Yes but at usb 2.0 speeds if your motherboard doesn't come with 3.0 or you don't have a add in card.

• XT uses FAT32 format. This drive is NTFS format, so unless you want to reformat it, the answer is NO. Also, bear in mind the size limitations of the FAT32. Reformatting it for that would be a waste of a lot of usable storage. you would be better off buying a smaller drive.
