“Can this drive be left vertical/standing up, or should it always lay flat?”

• I expect that the drive will not care about its orientation, but is should not be moved while it is spinning. If you put it on edge, you must hold it somehow so that it does not fall over while in use. If it falls over while the heads are in use you are virtually guaranteed to destroy the drive.

• I leave it flat on my desk. It would require a stand to have it vertical.

• Being that it is a solid state drive, I highly doubt orientation matters
