“Can I clone my Toshiba 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s onto this drive? Will it improve my current performance? The specs say 768 MB/sec max but the summary says 'data tfr up to 6GB'. So I'm wondering if this drive would actually be slower than my current Toshiba.”

Samsung Magician only supports Samsung drives.

Don't care much for toshiba ssd hard drives. Run magician magic Samsung program and you should see be performance and speeds than what you got.!! All depends how you set it up
