“This might seem silly but what does the outside antenna do?? Or more appropriately why do we need 2 antennas?? Thank you for clarification on this. I realize its time to get one because my service provider is not really adressing the main issue.”

The outside antenna connects to the tower to get the signal, then it sends the signal through the cable to the booster which helps amplify the signal. Last, the booster sends the amplified signal to the internal antenna which sends it out to your home for you to use. Sometimes the cellular signal gets blocked by building materials in your home like metal, concrete, or energy-efficient windows. This solution will help take that signal from outside your home and bring it into the home without the loss of signal that happens due to those materials.
