Webroot will attempt to remove what it can, but it can have its limits when it comes to the dominance and control of a malware software infection. You can always install Webroot, do a system scan, remove what it suggests, and restart the machine. If the problem persists, you could also download and install Malwarebytes. That would be your second option. If all else fails, you may be looking at reinstalling your OS software.

While many versions of adware are legitimately bad, there are quite a few that are not. Basically, anything trying to compromise your security we will detect and remove, while something that simply shows ads, we cannot interfere with. I hope this has answered your question.
