Apollo; No, some people believe that having TWO antivirus programs give TWICE the protection. False. They will both fight against each other and cause your machine to slow down. Best bet is to remove McAfee, install Webroot, and get back to real computing. McAfee is not a great program anymore. Their successful run is done. I find that Webroot protects without clogging up your system. It really is that good. Best of luck.

You may even have one program block the other from completing scans as it may perceive the scan as an attack on your system. You just need to tinker with the program's settings to make it work seemlessly.
