The protection comes with a cd, but I don't know where to put that cd since my device doesn't have a Cd or dvd slot? Do I take it to my local Best Buy and get one of the geek members to help me?”

They have an USB port and will read CDs and DVDs. I purchased one when I bought my hp spectre. They're slim and portable and relatively inexpensive.
