“How "outdoor" and splash resistant is this switch? Does it require any special cover, shield, gasketing, or other protection to withstand rain? Do we have to use the included very large :-( cover plate?”

I'm confused by BelkinStaff's answer. Is the switch only for indoor use, contrary to the information in the Specifications section of the product listing page? Or was the answer incomplete? It does not mention outdoor use and also does not recommend against or prohibit outdoor use.
