• A/C unit needs to be a small one, less than 15amps.

• Can be used for AC, just be mindful of the power requirements of the AC unit. Also the AC unit has to be an on/off type, mechanical switch. Some of the newer units are on a low power standby until you press a button on the unit.

• Yes you can use it for a air conditioner. I use two of them for my air conditioners. One in the living room and one in the bedroom.

• If the air conditioner doesn't exceed the electrical ration 120V~/15A/60Hz/1800W, then you can use the Wemo Mini Smart Plug for it.
