• yes you are able to control multiple units from the app. You are able to name each unit a different name.

• You may use one app to control each switch individually. You can also combine them into special groups (you create the group) of two or more switches to control groups using the same app. I do not endorse the one aspect of the app called the away rule. I found it to be probkematic, unstabke, anS undependable.

• Yes you can, they connect to your home WiFi so you can put them anywhere in range of the signal and they will all be visible in the WeMo app.
