• II’ve been using one in a covered patio for my Patio lights for over a year now. They work just fine no issues

• It’s not recommend because it’s not built to stand the extreme cold or extreme heat outside even though your porch is covered it may hinder how well it works. Early morning dew could cause it to stop working.

• Yes, it can. Just make sure that the unit is placed on a moisture-free spot as it is not designed for outdoor use.

• I would avoid exposing it to the elements since it’s not rated for outdoor use. Unless your porch is climate controlled, the cold might affect functionality.
