We had a heater plugged into one & it got very hot so I wouldn't suggest plugging an AC into one. I would think it would pull a lot of juice.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would suggest putting this on the outlet, and then connecting a power strip/surge protector to it--and then plug the air conditioner into that. But I suppose it could work. Also, you'd want to make sure it's the right sized three-prong plug.
