I’ve been using one plugged into a power strip for about 67 months now I don’t see why it wouldn’t work if you plug the power strip into the Wemo plug adapter at the shouldn’t make any difference unless you have a way to much plugged into the power strip I would think

You can plug a power strip on the Wemo Mini, however, make sure that the plugged devices on the power strip don’t exceed to the Mini’s the maximum power wattage of 1800W. Also, you can plug the Wemo Mini into the power strip, however, it is recommended plugging it directly into a power outlet instead.

It will turn on and turn off everything at once on that power strip. Yes you can plug it into your power strip and plug something else into the actual smart plug. But it will only control whatever is directly connected to that smart plug.
