QuestionIs this compatible with the Google echo dot assistant?

- Answer Not sure what you are really asking as there is no such thing as a "Google Echo Dot Assistant". With that being said, per the "Specifications" on the product listing, this plug works with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and SmartThings. I use it with Google Assistant, and it works great.

QuestionCan this continue to follow a schedule if it's not connected to wifi? In other words, if you initially setup a schedule with it connected to wifi, but then move it to a location with no wifi, will the plug still follow the preset schedule?

- Answer Yes, Franklin. The rules are stored on the Wemo device which allow them to function even without being connected to a router.

- Answer Hi, SV. Our Wemo F7C063 will work with any electronic devices so long as it meets its electrical requirement: 120V~/15A/60Hz/1800W (Indoor, and dry location use only).

QuestionCan I use this with a plug-in bear alarm? When there’s a power surge, it triggers the alarm and there’s no way to turn it off short of driving 5 hours to unplug it

- Answer If there is a power surge than most likely the switch will disconnect from WiFi and when it powers back up will be in the off state which means your alarm won’t even turn on

QuestionWhy doesn’t my wemo smart plug turn on my fan or sound bar, but it will turn the fan and sound bar off after I’ve turned them on manually? It makes the sound as if it turned the device on but the device itself doesn’t turn on?

- Answer It is a problem with the equipment. Some things work well by turning on and off the AC somethings don't.

- Answer 2.4 not 5 - if your Wi-Fi system has both you can unknowingly frustrate your setup by having your phone on 5 while the device needs 2.4 - once set up it doesn’t matter what your phone is on - this same issue can be a problem with the chamberlain garage door opener

- Answer I use several smart plugs to control my Christmas lights - the newest little cubes have poor antenna and don’t work well outside. Wemo now makes an outdoor plug but have not tried one. The plug configuration is for normal US home wiring -110/120. The plugs will not fit a 210/220 wall socket or receive the plug from such a device. If you attempt To redo the plug on such a device it will not work. Homepods want to be powered at all times so that they can respond to voice commands - putting it in a switch would frustrate that and each time you turn on the switch it Would be like repligfing in the HomePod
