• No, they are made for 2.4 networks, however, they will seek out the 2.4, so if you're running a dual band router, you shouldn't have an issue. There isn't a way that I'm aware of to make them only look at the 2.4.

• No, Tee. The Wemo devices only connect to the 2.4GHz network.
