Hello! If you have spectrum, Direct TV, etc. You may download the app to this TV and access your channels through the app without having to connect your cable box. However, if your TV provider does NOT provide an app option, you will need to connect your cable box.

Yes you can but most people with Roku (like myself) have cut the cord. I subscribe to YouTube TV and other apps that have interesting content. I like that there isn't a big box and wires. It's just the TV and no cable is needed anymore.
