You can plug in and use with free channels. From our experience, Roku has one of the best free channels available compared to other smart TV brnads. We're not high tech either but found it easy to connect to wifi and download apps for TV viewing. For some of the other apps available, you do need to have paid subscriptions to access. Depends on what you like to watch. Overall, it's very user friendly. We're happy with it. Just got it to replace a VIZIO which is a nightmare TV. Not sure about shipping - we picked it up in the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You just need your modem password to connect it to your internet. And if you have any paid streaming services, like Netflix, etc., then you'll need those passwords. There's not alot of hi-tech knowledge needed for TV's
