Can you download the directv now app? null

With a Roku (or Firestick, etc) added you can download most any viewing app you can think of. Hulu, ESPN, CBS All Access, etc. Roku, at least, also has lots of free content itself.

No, it doesn't have the ability to add apps. The only ones you can use are the preloaded ones, Netflix, Youtube, Vudu, Pandora, Toon goggles, accuweather, fox news, outdoor life, Popular science, tmz, air, saveur.
