Is there a tuner built into this television? null

it says it has a digital tuner - what it has is ATSC/NTSC - which means it will work with an add-on cable box that you can buy in addition to your tv purchase. To skip the digital box it must say QAM ie: ATSC/WAQM or NTSC/QAM - Westinghouse, element, emerson, insignia, sylvania and alot of others do NOT have QAM. The following brands cost more - but they have QAM: Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Sony and a few other.

i think all westinghouse tvs come with tuner, but you need to go to their website to activate it. as a default all westinghouse tvs do not have the internal tuners "turned on". http://westinghouseelectronics.com/support/tuner-activation-faqs/

No, the tuner is not built into the television.

Yes but only for analog channels only, it does not have a QAM tuner (like 99% of other TVs has) for antenna use or if cable TV hookup without a cable box will only give the old low rez channels. It is ridiculous to make this without a QAM tuner. All it's good for is if you have a cable box then you can get HDTV, or a Bluray. It will attached as a computer monitor but the picture will look horrible, it's not made as a comp monitor.

ALL TV's less than 10 years old have a built in tuner
