“Do I need a cable box to get local hd channels on this tv?”

• I found that this TV gets few channels in a rural area with distant and weak channels. You might get better results from a using a DTV box as your tuner. Tuners vary in their ability to work with weaker signals. Some of the original DTV boxes do that really well. Same antenna on my old DTV box gets 15 channels, but the Westinghouse TV can only get 5 with it. Tuners vary. Choose a DTV box carefully.

• No cable box to get HD on the tv. But will need a digital antenna....You can find antennas reasonable at Best Buy, wal-mart, etc..
