“I am having difficulty getting the HDMI to be recognized by the AV Receiver. For some reason the TV audio will not push out into the receiver? Does this model not connect to an AVR?”

Make sure to utilize HDMI1 which has the ARC featured embedded in the HDMI connection. This should push the audio from the TV to the receiver.
