• Regular 120 v US standard electric outlet, that your home has everywhere, No need for 240 volt outlet. That's for electric dryer or cook stove or electric water heater.

• I have mine plugged in a standard 110 outlet. I did not read the specs before I bought it or I would have questioned the voltage requirement too. I read the reviews before I bought it. Some were bad and some good. I would suggest the additional warranty just in case.
