• I believe so. Mine is the same way. But when I pushed it closer to the wall the sound was louder. So it could be the placement of the TV. However I am looking into buying a soundbar as the TV is still in the softer side.

• You also have to make sure the source (cable box, dish, DVD) volume level is adequately set.

• I experienced the same volume limitation, evidently this is normal for this particular model.
