It has HDMI 2.0 input. It has to be set from the menu as being HDMI 2.0 or a previous version HDMI. Amazon fire TV doesn't show the 4K option for me in the resolution. It says 4K on the Amazon fire box it doesn't give me a 4K option on this TV. There is no HDMI 2.0 cable, only HDMI 2.0 inputs. Old HDMI cables work with HDMI 2.0.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it doesn't have HDMI 2.0 than you are correct. It will not accept 4k input. As for how you're able to benefit from the 4k resolution, this is a smart TV that has Vudu and Netflix (among others) built in. Those apps will play 4k movies and shows on this TV, as they're part of the television's design. However, I would caution against purchase, as this TV has terrible lag and blur. Video games will not work properly, and action movies and sports look terrible. I had it for a day and returned it because it was unbearable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The HDMI ports must be rated for 2.0 and these are a hi speed HDMI cable is also needed for 4k
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Change from HDMI 1.4 to 2.0 in settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In settings you can change HDMI signal input from 1.4 to 2.0. You will still need a fire box or HDMI cable that can handle 4k.
