• I have a 55" LG and it fits and looks fine. I used the swivel mount - the mounting bracket did cover the composite and component inputs a bit, but I was able to get the cables inserted for my XBOX 360 and it works fine.

• Yes, it is. If you want to hang it up or place it on the table it will be plenty big enough for a 55 inch. I got a 55 Inch LG tv and this is the stand I bought.
