I have an 85lb Samsung plasma that has a height of 35.5" and it fits well. There is still 2.8" of space between the bottom of the TV and the glass shelf. My soundbar won't fit underneath it but is fine sitting in front of it because there is a 2" frame around the plasma screen (it is a few years old not like the super skinny frames on current tv.
