you do not have to drill into the wall although it has the option to mount just on the wall above the stand. Also after the stand is put together with the floating mount it has one anchor they want you to put in the wall to keep it from falling over but i opted not to add any extra holes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it gives you the option to mount TV on wall, place TV on top shelf with its TV stand, or mount to its post with no drilling, To mount on wall, it comes with a short post which will need to be drilled to be mounted, it comes with everything you will need for all three mounting options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No I didn't bolt it to the wall and it stands fine. I have a 42" TV and hasn't budged from its spot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are referring to the Tip Restraint Hardware Kit, you must install the Tipping Restraint Hardware between the wall and the TV stand to prevent any accidents or damages. When properly installed, this restraint can provide protection against the unexpected tipping of the unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. The restraint is only a deterrent and is not a substitute for proper adult supervision. Use of tip-over restraints may only reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of tip-over.
