• A:Answer It depends on the feet of the tv, i put a 65 inch samsung on it an fits fine, i would imagine a 70 inch tv is almost exactly the same width as the entertainment center, my 65 inch is about 2 inches inside the ends on both sides

• A:Answer No it would not be long enough for book shelf speakers on the top shelf with the tv. It would only be long enough for a 55in tv. Mine is. 50in And fits perfect. However, I believe you could still fit a 55 in tv but not anything else on the top. The second and bottom shelf shelf would hold a DVD player, a cable box and many DVDs. I hope that helps you. You could put the speakers on the second shelf which is glass or the bottom shelf which is wood depending on how high your speakers are.
