Not at all. I put a 65 inch on it today. Very sturdy stand and the TV will weigh much less than the weight rating.

This model was manufactured and tested to fit up to most 55" Flat Panel TVs, maximum load of 135 lbs. To avoid instability the base of the television must be able to rest on the supporting surface of the unit without over-hanging the edges.
