• Hello pianogirl. You will need to press the vent light button on the left-hand side of the Microwave.

• vent and light buttons are on the left, they are touch buttons, start stop and open are on the right, and control panel is behind the door.

• On the exterior left side of the door there are two icons you press to activate - top one is for the light (high, low and off) and the next icon beneath is for the vent (4 speeds).
