You can plug this in and use it anywhere. The sides, back and top are not finished to be exposed. It won’t look pretty but it will function.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you could use it without being under the counter but there is no case on the back, like you see on a kenmore. So you have exposed metal edges.
