Hi! When brand new out of the box, the control pad will have a plastic skin over it that was meant to protect it during shipment and delivery. It should easily roll off from the edges. You should be able to rub it from the edges to get it to lift and it will pull right off. It's often unnoticed upon unpacking and after use starts to loosen and will appear there are bubbles.
