The generic MK2167 trim kit BestBuy sells is plastic with a foil-thick veneer of stainless steel on the front. It does require an opening of 17 1/8", and enlarging the opening is not a job for the faint-hearted or unskilled. Furthermore, it doesn't fit well and has a significant amount of open space around the oven. Despite installing the included support rails using factory-drilled mounting holes, our oven does not sit squarely within the frame and is slightly recessed within the space, not flush with the surface. Let's just say I am far from delighted and do not recommend this trim kit, primarily for its flimsy quality. It looks and feels cheap.
