I have a space for a microwave/exhaust hood but no way to vent to outside unless I make a hole. Do i have to vent outside and also how much distance from stove does it need to be null

By default it’s set to reciculate and vent from the front of the unit towards the ceiling, depending on your cabinets this might be an issue.
