Can this unit be installed with 12" cupboards? null

Hello Mpg! Yes, this can be installed with 12" cupboards. Per the Installation Instructions: 12" (30.5 cm) min. and 14" (35.6 cm) max. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.

Yes, but it will extend about 4 inches beyond the cabinets.

I just installed it with my upper cabinets, which are standard depth of 12". The door sits about 4 inches out from the cabinets, but it looks fabulous! That lets it clear the cabinet doors/hardware. See attached photo.
