Q: QuestionDoes the fan automatically come on when using gas stove below? Can it be shut off or does it run for a certain amount of time ?

• A:Answer Hi Bill, there is no "dimmer" switch for this model, however, there is a work around that might work for your purposes. • A:Answer Hello! Programming tones and signals. Programming tones may be turned off, or all tones (including end-of-function signals) may be turned off. To turn off programming tones, touch and hold number keypad “1” for about 3 seconds, until a confirmation tone sounds. Repeat to turn back on programming tones. To turn off all tones, touch and hold number keypad “2” for about 3 seconds, until a confirmation tone sounds. Repeat to turn back on all tones. We hope this helps.

• A:Answer I don’t know that for sure and doubt Whirlpool customer service would tell you. But, I replaced an 11 year old Whirlpool microwave and everything was exactly the same. Didn’t have to install new bracket. So, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t the same.

• A:Answer No, you must have a cabinet to mount this unit, as it essentially “hangs” from the 2 upper mounting screws. There is a metal bracket that mounts on the wall and works in conjunction with upper cabinet mounts.

Q: QuestionWas unpacking microwave to install it. It mentions a grill on the top just over the door where the black plastic spacers were sitting and which had to be removed. There doesn't appear to be a grill just an open area. Am I missing grill inserts pieces?
